The waves crash hard
onto rugged cliffs,
their white coloured crests
then thrown like unwanted gifts.
A small boat is trying
to make its way home,
onboard a fisherman
now aware he is alone.
A storm has arrived
without any warning
to upset a sea
which was still this morning.
A family on the shore
search for a sign
however the rain and wind
now engulf the coastline.
The fisherman is holding
on for his life
while vowing that he
will make it home to his wife.
A life filled with hardship
is hanging by a thread
but arms of steel will
make sure he won’t return dead.
In
Beautiful poem penned.
